This week's article: Mario, Sonic, and Crash in 1 system! 2 and a half years ago, no one would have thought that the mascot of Nintendo, Sega, and Playstation would be on 1 system. When Sega refrain from doing game systems 2 years ago, they announced that they would develop games for Nintendo (and other sytems). By that time the GBA is in the works and about a year later, some GBA games that were in development were announced and one of them is Sonic Advance. As most playstation owners know, previous Crash games has only been released for the playstation console. Crash Bandicoot X/S and Sega's Sonic Advance received high rankings once they were released. Nintendo's Mario Advance 2 was better among the 3 of them in my opinion because it has a longer gameplay and it has tons of secrets and sidequest in the game too. Remarkably, the 3 games were released in the same month! Will we ever see another event like this again? August 16 (evening): New info on Doom II: Some of the gory animations and 2 music tracks will be removed to make the game get a 'T' rating instead of 'M'. Some large levels will be split into multiple parts. It will also be faster because it will have a different engine than the first one.

August 15 (evening): New info on Lego: Island Xtreme. It will have 25 quests with 14 vehicles. You'll do activities such as skateboarding, sky surfing, and driving. The expected release for this game is on December.

December 7 (morning): The Ratings on Road to WrestleMania X8 and NHL Hitz 2003 has been posted on page 15 of Current Games. December 6 (morning): New info on Rayman 3 for the GBA. It will have more than 50 levels. His new moves will include body shot and double fist. Up to 4 players can play using a link cable in the multi-player mode. October 11 (afternoon): Blizzard announced that it will release 2 games in 2003. The first one is Blackthorne which is an adventure game where you fight monsters in an alien planet. February 5 Video Game Financial News (evening): A new competitor for the Gameboy Advance has been announced. Nokia Corp unveiled their portable game console N-Gage today in London. Some of the developers that will make games for N-Gage are Eidos, Sega, THQ and Activision. It's not only for gaming machine but it's also a mobile phone, radio and digital music player. It also has multi-player capabilities and it's wireless too. The price however won't be as low as the GBA considering it has more functions. Nokia is targeting a Christmas release for N-Gage. Originally released in 1998 on the SNES, the game will be similar to Mega Man games in which you will acquire weapons from mini bosses after you beat them.
